What is Subject Line?
Subject Line is a free tool that will test email subject headers for what can only be described as attention grabbiness (yes I have just made that word up). It is also a great online resource for anyone that writes marketing emails with lots of helpful blogs and tips.
What does it do?
It is a pretty straight forward tool. Simply enter a test email subject header and see how it scores out of 100. For example, I typed in ‘Places still available for the Assist Conference 2016’ and got a score of 70/100 with a few pointers to make it a better subject header.
How does it benefit assistants?
If you are sending out an important email that you really do want everyone one to read this little tool will ensure you at least get them to read the subject heading with the hope they will open the email and read what you have to say! Anything that minimises the number of annoying interruptions you get from colleagues asking you questions about something you have already emailed has got to be a bonus!
Why is it Practically Perfect PA’s tech of the week?
I like nifty little tools like this. It is free and easy to use and pretty helpful if you need a quick second opinion on your email subject heading. The blogs are also interesting reads for everyone that puts together marketing emails.
