Round two of our regional events took place last week in Leeds and Edinburgh. The Office Superhero… Technology to Help you Fly was a resounding success with just under 100 assistants booked onto each event. Thanks again to everyone for coming, especially those in Leeds who managed to make it across the city despite it being the hottest day of the year!

At both events, we threw a whole load of technology at our attendees. We had Mike McGrail from Administrate talking about the technology he uses to be super productive.

We had Emma Cartmell from the Conference and Hospitality Show and Lauren Thomson from MCL Create talking all things event tech and I covered technology to help with business travel and meetings.

We held the events in two brilliant venues – The Leeds Club, which couldn’t be any more central and White Space, which is an absolute hidden gem in Edinburgh.

In Edinburgh we had the magnificent Bethany Burns, First Mate to the Captain of BrewDog, talking about the technology she used to manage the BrewDog AGM.

She also kindly organised goodie bags for all of the attendees. One PA said ‘they were the best goodie bags ever’… But who is going to complain about free BrewDog beer!

After both events, we had a small drinks reception for all of the attendees. Happily, everyone stayed for a drink and to get to know each other a bit better.

I was really pleased with all of the regional events we held this summer. It was great to get out and about and meet lots of different assistants from all over the UK. Thank you again to everyone that made it along to either the PA Big Questions or Technology to Help you Fly. Look out for our next event Assist Travel on the 9th September and of course our big Assist Conference in February.
