What is Piktochart?

Piktochart is a great website for assistants who want to create free infographics, charts, marketing material, posters and presentations for their organisations. The standard account for users is free, for pro users the cost is $29 per month or $290 for the year.

Technology of the week: Piktochart

What does it do?

The website is really easy to use. It has hundreds of templates that assistants can use for infographics, free icons, interactive maps, stock images and funky charts. The editing functions are very intuitive and all of the infographics can be printed in high resolution or shared online. There are lots of useful guides available for users so that they can make the most of the technology.

How does it benefit assistants?

Not all assistants will be asked to produced infographics but PiktoChart is great for creating really cool charts, marketing materials and powerpoint presentations. The infographics can also be embedded on websites, shared on social media and printed out to use as posters around the office.

Why is it Practically Perfect PA’s technology of the week?

I’ve used Piktochart to showcase the results of the Practically Perfect PA Survey. Once you get the hang of the editing capabilities it is easy to use and actually really good fun. The charts do look much cooler than the typical Powerpoint SmartArt. If you use posters in the office Piktochart can make them much more colourful and eye-catching.
