Well firstly I just wanted to say what a year 2014 has been! Thank you to everyone that has read Practically Perfect PA over the last twelve months. I hope you have all enjoyed the posts and will stick around next year! We have some very exciting plans in the diary for 2015 and I want to share them with you today.
Practically Perfect PA
The website has gone from strength to strength this year. We have increased the number of blog posts and will continue to publish around four per week, each themed around the following areas:
- Career development
- Key skills
- Office politics
- Working relationships
- Travel management
We have also introduced two regular features – ‘A day in the life‘ and ‘Technology of the week‘, both of which will continue into 2015.
We received some fantastic feedback from the 2014 Practically Perfect PA survey and will take onboard all of your comments going forward. Technology, hands-on advice and key skills were all mentioned by respondents so we plan to cover these areas in more detail next year.
As you can imagine I am super excited about the Assist Conference – Practically Perfect PA’s first conference for our UK based readers taking place on the 27th February. The programme is in the final stages and we are planning to publish this along with the location of the conference in the first few weeks of January. For more information about the programme please see our recent email and of course our website.
Now that Practically Perfect PA towers has relocated to Edinburgh we are planning a few more events and networking meet-ups, which will take place across a number of locations (well anywhere between London and Edinburgh to be honest!) We are also aware that we have a large number of readers outside of the UK so expect a few online events for those that are based in more exotic locations. Talking about exotic locations, those that have been reading Practically Perfect PA for a while will know that we like to get out and about. With this in mind we are planning a trip down under during September and will of course keep all of our Australian readers in loop regarding our trip – which we are hoping will involve a small event for the assistant community in Sydney.
On a personal note, my first baby will be arriving in March next year so along with writing many many lists over the next few months I will keep you up to date on my attempts at juggling a small child, organising an event and maintaining a website!
So here is to 2014, it has been a wonderful year and I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings the assistant industry!
