Round two of our regional events took place last week in Leeds and Edinburgh. The Office Superhero… Technology to Help you Fly was a resounding success with just under 100 assistants booked onto each event. Thanks again to everyone for coming, especially those in Leeds who managed to make it across the city despite it being the hottest day of the year!
I’m just back from a week in the UK where we held the first of our regional events in Edinburgh and Leeds. The PA Big Questions took place at The George in Edinburgh and Horizon in Leeds. I was really pleased that we had 50 assistants at the events, all there to discuss the issues that face assistants and the industry as a whole. As this was the first event of its kind I wasn’t too sure how the events were going to pan out, but I was really pleased to see so many assistants sharing their experiences, giving each other advice and having a good old chit chat about the job. I wouldn’t say it was quite a group therapy session, but a lot of the attendees said that it was a cathartic experience!
Last month I asked you all to complete a survey which asked what are the big topics for discussion at the moment. What stuff should we be debating, what is going on, what should be changed and what is working well within the Assistant industry. Thanks to the hundreds of you that completed that survey. Here are the results…
After the success of the Assist Conference and Assist Travel, both of which are based in London. I have decided to hit the road and organise some events in other parts of the UK. Looking at where in the country the Practically Perfect PA readers are based I’ve decided to hitch my tent in Leeds and Edinburgh.
So what do I have planned? Well, I’m going to run two free to attend events in Leeds and in Edinburgh. Here are the details…

The Big Questions
We have the questions and you have the answers. The PA Big Questions is a unique event for all levels of PAs, EAs and Administrative Assistants. During the course of the event we will look to resolve some of the big questions that face our industry today. Through group activities, debates and all the latest technology we will discuss the challenges faced by PAs today.
Last week I created a survey to find out about the challenges assistants are facing today. The answers will form the programme for the The Big Questions event.
The dates and times are:
All of the events are free and you can register right now. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
