About me

About me

Hello, nice to meet you.

I’m Nicky Christmas, since 2011 I have been chronicling my experiences as an assistant, working my way up from an administrative assistant to my current position as an Executive Assistant and organiser extraordinaire to the Head Honcho of an international Events Consultancy company based in Barcelona and London.

The blog

Practically Perfect PA was founded in October 2011 as a free online resource for assistants in all levels of business seeking support, information and guidance in their chosen career. The articles I write cover a wide range of business topics however the blog is designed for the needs of assistants specifically.

The goals

With Practically Perfect PA I really am hoping to give real value to professional assistants through advise, resources and the tools to work effectively in one of the most challenging jobs on earth.

If you are a motivated assistant who wants to improve and grow your skills and also learn from my successes and mistakes please click here to join my assistant community.

Also don’t hesitate to get in touch if there are any questions you have or ideas and issues you might like to see on the blog.

  3. Hi Nicky – you made me smile today – I totally agree and adhere to your Do’s and Dont’s – very perceptive and clever. I too worked in the City in Insurance as an EA but had been unfortunately made redundant – hopefully getting some temp work soon and will be back in the swing of things. Keep up the good work and look forward to following your blog. Carole Wright

  8. Hi Nicky!

Happy New Year! I just wanted to say that I came across after searching for PA blogs (there are almost zero PA blogs!) and I felt compelled to tell you how wonderful, your blog is! I’ve just been reading for the past few hours but your passion and insight are immediately apparent.
