I have just arrived back in Barcelona after a pretty roller coaster week in the UK, which included running the two day Future Assistant Conference in Camden and an overnight stay at the Royal London Hospital with my one year old. He is fine, me not so much! Life can throw a lot at you sometimes, but as one of our speakers said at the conference you have to ‘proceed until apprehended’, which is my new life motto by the way! So what can I tell you guys about the Future Assistant Conference: What went down? Here are just some of the highlights…
We do things differently
We had 150 Assistants join us in Proud Camden and we also had 100 attendees from all over the world watching online. It was brilliant holding the event in what is effectively a night club (I think you can just make out the glitterball hanging from the ceiling!) The vibe in the venue just made everyone feel much more relaxed and as we started the conference everyone was chatting comfortably with each other.
Everyone had their trusty floppy disk badge and Practically Perfect PA mug, which was filled to the brim with hot drinks (it was freezing outside!)
We had a whole range of AMAZING speakers
We had a load of brilliant speakers who covered topics ranging from managing staff to improving your impact and influence. We had panel sessions from some truly inspiration Assistants and we covered some pretty intense subjects that affect so many of us in our roles.
Our attendees laughed, cried and got to know each other veeeeerrrryyy well!
We did everything we could to make sure that everyone who came along to the Future Assistant had a good time, learnt a lot and got to know each other. Which they did, if the sound of laughter during the networking drinks was anything to go by!
The #FutureAssistant hashtag connected everyone online
We had so many wonderful social media messages from the attendees during the two days, so thank you to everyone who posted on Twitter and Instagram!
Everything is still online for you to access!
And here is the best bit… If you missed any of the Future Assistant you can still watch it all online, no matter where you are in the world!
The recording of the event is available for you to purchase for just £100. That is 16 sessions all focussed on your learning and development for just £100! If you would like to watch the Future Assistant Conference head over to the website for more details and to access the content.
Thanks again to everyone that joined us in Camden and online, I hope you enjoyed it! We will be running another Future Assistant Conference next year and I will let you know the dates asap. In the meantime, we have the next Virtual Summit coming up in June and you can now book on to that for just £50.
