There are a lot of different resources available to assistants. From magazines, blogs, exclusive membership clubs to events and exhibitions. Some resources are better than others and we do have a lot of choice. So where do we begin? Well I thought I would offer one of the great resources a chance to introduce themselves to the Practically Perfect PA readers and tell us a little more about what they do and how they can support assistants in, what I think is, one of the world’s toughest jobs! Folks, let me introduce you to PA Life.

PA Life

PA Life magazine is published six times a year and includes a mixture of lifestyle features, updates on suppliers, industry news and articles on how to improve professional skills. The magazine subscription is entirely free to anyone who works as a PA, EA or senior admin professional. The PA Life website also has lots of great resources for assistants. At the moment they are offering one very lucky assistant the chance to win a wine-and-dine experience at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons – Raymond Blanc’s Cookery School. Here are a few more details on the experience…

The evening begins at 6pm with a visit to the cellar to enjoy specially selected wines with one of the hotel’s knowledgeable sommeliers. Rich with information about all elements of wine from growing the grape vines, to decanting and pouring, they are here to help you learn and enjoy.
From the cellar it is a short journey to the Raymond Blanc Cookery School where you will be greeted with champagne and canapés.

Your evening will continue with a fabulous four-course dinner with sommelier-selected wines while you watch our tutors create the dishes for you to enjoy. The experience ends with the presentation of recipes and tasting notes, as well as your own chef’s jacket to take home to wear whilst entertaining friends and family.

Sounds pretty amazing, right? For more details on how to enter click through to the PA Life Website.
