This is me arriving at The Lowell, New York City. It was freezing cold and I was actually wearing two coats. The doorman was lovely and didn’t mind carrying my bright pink suitcase. I was really excited about my stay at The Lowell because I had heard great things about the hotel – particularly from Goop, Gwentyh Paltrow’s blog.

The lobby area was quite small but perfectly formed. In fact the entire hotel is intimate and quiet which is just what guests need after a busy day in New York.

The bedroom was absolutely beautiful. The bed really was as comfortable as it looked.

The decor and furniture were incredibly luxurious and elegant. No expense had been spared in the suites.

As I said it was absolutely freezing in New York City so I was pleased to find a fully stocked kitchenette in my suite. Shall we take a closer look at the minibar?

Hello! There was certainly enough alcohol to keep me warm!

I took the healthier option for staying warm by diving into the huge bath tub! Obviously I got into the fluffy bathrobe straight after the bath and relaxed on the comfy sofa.

The bathroom products were gorgeous…

…and really nicely presented.

After a fantastic night sleep I went for a run around Central Park – on my return the fabulous reception staff presented me with a bottle of water and a towel. The level of service at The Lowell is second to none. I needed to do a little more exercise so I popped my head into the gym. It was, without a doubt, the nicest hotel gym I have ever been in. There was a well stocked fridge with water, Vitamin Water, energy bars, fruit and freezing cold flannels. The equipment was top of the range and the space was really well designed.

After doing some exercise I needed a good breakfast so I stopped by The Pembroke Room. As it was Sunday the restaurant was very busy catering for the New York Sunday brunch crowd. Everyone was making happy eating sounds!

Being from Essex I always like to see Wilkin and Sons Ltd jam!

The  pastries were dangerously good.

The eggs Benedict were delicious!

Sunday brunch at The Pembroke Room was a fantastic experience one of my favourites during my time in the States. I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting New York.

The Lowell is located just across the road from Central Park and is in walking distance of a variety of landmarks.

This came in handy after the snow thawed and the rain started!

It is obvious why the Lowell is part of the Leading Hotels of the World collection – it is a stunning hotel. It is beautifully designed but it also feels comfortable and homely.

Why book The Lowell for your boss? The service is fantastic, the bedrooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The Lowell is old fashioned New York luxury in a really intimate setting. If it is good enough for Gwyneth Paltrow I’m sure it is good enough for your boss!
