Getting off the train at Belfast Central Station I was slightly disappointed the weather was as wet and windy as Dublin, which was where I boarded the train. Nevertheless, with only a five minute walk from the station to the Hilton I decided to face the weather and make the small trip. The Hilton really is in a convenient  spot. Located right on the waterfront and walking distance to the city centre, Odyssey Arena and other main attractions, you really can’t go wrong with this Hotel.

The service from the the reception staff is as impressive as the lobby with its huge ceilings and glass windows. We were there a matter of moments before being escorted to our room on the  top floor of the hotel. The view of Belfast, as you can see from the photo, was fantastic despite the cloudy day. I had my mother with me on this trip so we had a twin room, which was really comfortable and good size. There was plenty of space to sit and work, or relax and watch the TV.

We had organised a car to pick us up and show us around Belfast sows decided to wait in Cables Bar, which is situated inside the lobby of the Hilton and also serves as a Costa Coffee. As there isn’t too much around the hotel itself (although within 10 minutes you are in the town centre) it was really handy having a cafe and restaurant on site.

After much sightseeing in Belfast we returned to the Hilton for a good nights rest. We were not disappointed. The beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet and we awoke refreshed for breakfast.

Breakfast was served in the Sonoma restaurant which has fantastic views of River Lagan and the famous docks. The breakfast was served as a buffet and it was a pretty standard affair and not much to write home about. It did fill me up, which is good!

Why book the Hilton Belfast for your boss? The location is ideal for anyone travelling by train into Central Station. It is in easy reach of all of the main attractions and city centre. The amenities are good with WiFi, a gym and a few restaurants to choose from. Also you know your boss will be comfortable in a Hilton. The standard is usually good and the Hilton Belfast is no exception.
