Research suggests that the role of the PA is constantly evolving.  Many of today’s PAs and secretaries are multi-skilled and work in complex roles; one minute being reactive and supportive, the next expected to have a proactive approach in a pressured environment.  In the workplace of today, change seems the only constant and there is an ever increasing requirement to be resilient and utilise the most effective ways of working.

Identifying the skills you need for success can be half the battle.  Attending high quality training sessions and conferences can help develop these skills and guide career progression.  Training programmes keep us engaged and curious about the wider working environment and what changes and improvements we can make to benefit us both in our working and personal lives.

Think about the past five years of your career, have they just slipped by?  Are you where you want to be on your career path?  Think about yourself five years from now, where do you want to be working, what do you want your role to be?  Have you made plans and do you understand the skills you may need to acquire to achieve your future goals?

Hemsley Fraser’s very popular Secretarial, PA and Administrator Conference will be running again this spring and provides attendees with the guidance, information and advice they require to ensure they stay ahead of the game.

The Secretarial, PA and Administrator Conference provides a fantastic day out of the office where learning, networking and reflection join together to provide an experience which is not only inspiring but empowering and informative.  The conference is packed full of content to guarantee you leave with new information, skills and techniques. The workshops you will receive on the day are of the highest quality and are delivered by trainers who are energetic, entertaining and passionate, ensuring you will leave feeling motivated and inspired.  Sessions will cover career acceleration, effective note taking, how to manage difficult people and top nutritional lifestyle tips for improved performance at work.  Due to the high popularity of this conference, the networking opportunities are invaluable and you will without doubt build up many new likeminded contacts.

We have a range of dates and locations for the spring conferences for you to choose from:

London – 3rd April & 17th June

Bristol – 29th May

Leeds – 10th June

Edinburgh – 16th May

A previous attendee of the conference commented “I took away a lot of positive strategies that I can install in and around my role.  Each unit offered relevant and valuable techniques that covered a variety of areas. The trainers were really engaging; the units well set out and coincided nicely with each other.  It was also helpful to talk to others who might be able to offer similarly useful advice.”

Make sure you keep acquiring the skills you need to make your working life interesting, challenging and fun. The traditional role of a PA is changing and this conference will help guide you to a driven, career focussed you!

It’s not PAs who need educating it’s employers. More responsibility, higher workloads, a faster pace and fewer admin staff to share the load for the same amount of money. Most companies just don’t ‘get it’.

Hi. Do you know about any good quality training online? I live in Mauritius island, and there are no such training here, although there is a need.
I’m an executive secretary and PA to director.
    Thank you
