Writing Practically Perfect PA for a year and what have I learnt?

So this is my 56 blog and I have now officially been writing for a whole year! Knowing my little anniversary was coming up I’ve been reflecting  on my year as a blogger and what I’ve achieved over the last 12 months. My life has changed quite dramatically actually – here are a few highlights: I became single for the first time in 8 years, I moved back London, I got a new job and I turned 30! ‘Change’ has definitely been the word for 2012! Some of the changes have been scary and at times challenging, some have been exhilarating and so much fun. With so many new things going on it has been wonderful having a space to share my thoughts and experiences as an Executive Assistant.

So what have I learnt about myself? Well here are a few lessons I’ve picked up over the year with accompanying evidence in photo format!

When times are tough having a reliable family is a godsend

Friends make all the difference in the world

Travelling to other places really does broaden your horizons

Good advice is crucial, especially when you are acting a bit odd

Being on your own once in a while is okay and can actually be pretty bloody brilliant

Have a motto and stick to it

Age ain’t nothing but a number

When you are tired of London you are tired of life

A glass of wine will always go down a treat … 6 glasses of wine will not!

If you don’t like something, change it

  1. Happy first anniversary as a blogger. Love your blogs and they always make great reading even though as a PA for years, as the saying goes, you learn something new everyday. :)
